We maintain the Residence as a space where such people can always come, provided they are ready and able to adhere to the seven Core Values of This Is H.O.W., known as How It Is.
These seven Core Values are:
Honesty
Openness
Willingness
Integrity
Tenacity
Independence
Sobriety
These seven Values form the basis for all of the work that we do, and the ability of our Residents to make it through the program that is designed specifically for them.
Honesty, Openness, Willingness
These are the primary Core Values of This Is HOW as an organization, and all Residents are expected to live up to and within these core values, first and foremost.
Honesty means being honest at all times. It is the policy of Residents to be honest and truthful in all interactions with others while in the Program, both on and off the site.
Openness means being open to new ideas and new considerations while in the program. Can’t, won’t, and similar negative based terms are not things we like to hear around here. This is about what is possible.
Willingness means being willing to try new things, to do things in new ways, to be willing to follow the rules and procedures, to be actively working towards making a life for one’s self that is better than the life one is living at present.
